Charity amateur tennis tournament ’Australian Closed’ will take place at Warringah Recreation Centre in North Manly in Sydney on January 12th and 13th. At the same time, ’Junior Australian Closed’ will be held at the Queenwood Tennis & Sports Centre in Oxford Falls in Sydney. The organizers from the charity organization NEST Inc from Sydney are inviting everyone to join them for a weekend filled with fun, sporting competition, fund raising, food and music.
The weekend will feature competitions in tennis, table tennis and soccer, backed by traditional music and food from the Balkans. Children will get the chance to practice tennis and compete under the supervision of renowned Australian tennis coach Ladislav Kiš (Lars Kish) and other respected sportsmen from Tennis & Sports Centre in Oxford Falls. The entry is free both for children and adults. We are proud that our editor Jelena Kiš (Jelena Kish) will traditionally also take part in ’Australian Closed’ as one of the hosts.
Australian Closed is an amateur tennis tournament aimed at creating community engagement and raising money for children in need.  It is started and organized for the first time in 2013 by NEST Inc. Every year, they collect significant funding for children and institutions in need from countries in the area of former Yugoslavia. Famous Serbian tennis players always take part in ’Australian Closed’ and donate their hand signed shirts and other tennis equipment for charity auction before going to Australian Open in Melbourne. Popular actors and other artists are also in charge for great entertainment. ’Junior Australian Closed’ is organized this year for the first time.
You may find more information about the upcoming ’Australian Closed’ & ’Junior Australian Closed at the NEST Inc website and Facebook page or you may call their organizers whose phone number is 0431 193 832.
