Jelena Kish (Kiš) has extraordinary education and great professional experience in various fields. After graduating at classical grammar school in Belgrade and obtaining Master degree in law at University of Belgrade (Serbia), she earned master degree in international relations at Deakin University in Australia and graduated Australian immigration law and practice at the Australian National University in Sydney and at the Victorian University in Melbourne. Jelena started career working in a lawyers’ office in Sydney. After returning to Belgrade, she was engaged first as general secretary and soon after as the president of Centre of Serbs in Diaspora (Matica iseljenika Srbije). The Centre went through true renaissance after a long period of decay and gained a great success, reputation and importance thanks to Jelena. She brought it to high level and organized numerous exhibitions, workshops, conferences and other significant business and cultural events. As the head of Centre of Serbs in Diaspora she also gave great contribution to strengthening the ties that connect Serbia and its’ diaspora. Jelena Kiš won “The Golden Badge” award by Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia (Kulturno-prosvetna zajednica Srbije) for her “selfless, committed and long-lasting work and creative contribution to the spread of culture”. As the Australian and Serbian citizen she was also dedicated to the development of economic and cultural exchange between Australia and Serbia. She worked successfully on business cooperation between Serbia and its’ diaspora worldwide as well, so the then president of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić appointed her as the secretary of Council for Serbs in the Region (Savet za Srbe u regionu). She is very active in The Business Woman Club (Klub poslovnih žena) too and lately as the immigration agent successfully runs World Visa agency for consulting and Australian, Canadian and other immigration services. Together with her associates in World Visa she is helping her clients in a process of applying for visa in several countries. Jelena recently moved back to Sydney and currently works on starting World Visa Sydney office, while her closest associate Slobodana Jelić runs the office in Belgrade. Apart from that, Jelena was elected for Mrs. Serbia and one of the Top 10 most beautiful women in the world at the Mrs. World Competition in China in 2013th. She worked occasionally as journalist since college. By accepting to run Australiana Serba Internet Magazine together with its’ founder Ivana Nikolić Jelena returned to journalism and her work on the development and strengthening the connections between Serbia and Serbian diaspora in Australia and other countries. Her first stories and interviews published in Australiana Serba already attracted many readers. She is currently engaged in the development of Australiana Serba YouTube Channel as well. She is also working hard on the development of Australiana Serba Sydney office. Jelena currently lives in Sydney with her husband, famous tennis coach Lars Kiš, and their four children.
